The Middle Level is certainly are different! With the change to sunshine and showers we saw the best of this flat landscape. We passed through Stanground Lock at 9.30 and bought the special windlass and key for required for the Middle Level. Got to March at 3.00PM and planned to stay overnight but when we rang Salter's Lode Lock to arrange passage onto the Great Ouse we were advised by the lockkeeper to try and leave the Middle Level tomorrow. It appears that low tides will stop passages through Denver Sluice for 4 days so we have arranged passage for 11.00 tomorrow. We are staying overnight in Outwell on Well Creek. It's in Norfolk - a boating first for us.
