Another day travelling upstream with Moriaty. Left Wadenhoe around 9.30 and went through six locks without much difficulty until Upper Ringstead when the heavens opened and we had a very dramatic thunder storm! Good excuse for a bacon sandwich stop. Moored again at Rushden & Diamonds FC - rafted-up two deep! Early afternoon we safely passed under the footbridge at Islip that had caused us so much difficulty on our way downstream, Although water levels were high because of the recent rains there was reasonable clearance.
