Another short day. Travelled from Ashton to Wadenhoe. Accompanied again by Lynn & Bob on narrowboat "Moriaty". We appear to be a team. Two crews are very handy operating the locks, but Bob and Lyn from Moriaty have the advantage of being familiar with the river having moored for some time at Stibbington including the 1998 floods. Arrived at the moorings by the Kings Head and then the heavens opened! Between thundery showers we managed a walk down by Wadenhoe Mill and spent time watching fish in the river. Fish & chips at the pub. PS Yesterday we spotted a red kite over the meadows near Oundle.
