Took a trip to Richmond from Teddington (by bus). It was busy with crowds thronging the riverside and enjoying the spring sunshine. The rowing boats were on hire but many were finding the strong stream a challenge. Even the trip boats found turning below the bridge "interesting" - quite a lot of wake coming off the bridge supports.
Richmond in the spring sunshine
We came back to Teddington by boat, the MV Yarmouth Belle. Although the standard journey is from Richmond to Kingston they dropped us off at Teddington Lock. The lock keeper conveniently stopped filling the lock at the point where the boat deck was at the height of the lock side. It was a lovely trip in the late afternoon spring sunshine. The parrots wheeled above the boat as we passed Ham House.
