Left Peterborough under cloudy skies and travelled upstream. Worked out an efficient method of working the Nene guillotine locks two-handed but at Wandsford we met Moriaty who were also travelling upstream so we paired-up all the way to Fotheringhay. Idyllic moorings near the old castle mound where Mary Queen of Scots met her end. We even had evening sunshine! Watched the sun set over the meadows.
